Hotel Carris Porto Ribeira

Just stayed at a hotel downhill by the river, near all attractions. LOVED the view from the balcony. Breakfast was included. Staff were super friendly, even if some need more training. Would choose again! The rooms look even better in person.

Although my room had issues with natural light and communication with staff, the location and breakfast were exceptional. The decor and charm of the building made up for any shortcomings. Overall, a lovely experience despite some minor inconveniences.

The room was nicely furnished with a bathroom having two sinks. Great breakfast with plenty of choices. Location is perfect, just a short walk to the river. Check-in staff were friendly. A few minor issues like lack of storage, but a great stay!

The hotel nailed the old-meets-new vibe superbly, situated in a prime location near the waterfront where you can soak in the charm of Porto; the friendly staff and chic decor added to the overall great facilities. I really dug the modern leisure options like massage and the TV room, perfect for kicking back after a day of sightseeing. The only hiccup was that the toiletries weren't replenished during my four-night stay, which was a tad disappointing, but overall, a cozy and enjoyable experience! 🌟

Great Location: the hotel is conveniently located near the river and the Dom Luis I bridge. This allowed easy access to the beautiful views of the famous bridge and the port cellars across the river.

Inflexible Check, in: We arrived around noon but were not allowed to check in early due to the system restrictions. It would be beneficial if the hotel management could make the check, in process more flexible in the future.

The children of the staff could enhance the vacation for senior people by providing more personalized assistance and understanding their unique needs.

Loved the central location, with plenty of attractions nearby. The design of the hotel is stunning, especially the bar area. And the food at NOVE restaurant was absolutely divine!

Ah, yes, the housekeeping. They seemed to have missed the memo on cleanliness.

We absolutely loved the hotel's perfect location close to the river, and its convenience to everything in the city centre. We could easily walk up to the downtown area and explore many other parts of this city. The hotel facilities were completely modern, attractive, and clean, without losing the authentic feel of the building's history. We were impressed with the nicely proportioned room and the elegant simplicity of the property. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us when we needed to store luggage for a few hours. The buffet breakfast was a nice touch.

I recently stayed at Carris Porto Ribeira for a few days and it was a wonderful experience. The manager, Sophia, was fantastic and quickly resolved an issue with our room. The front office staff were helpful with city recommendations and made restaurant reservations for us. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to the river, nice restaurants, and attractions like the palace. The bar staff were friendly and the lobby and bar area were beautiful.

Great downtown location, a stone's throw from the river and riverside restaurants. Helpful and friendly staff who went over and beyond to assist us with a last-minute transportation mishap. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good soundproofing, despite the noise on the street. Good shower in one room, bathtub and shower in another.

We had a fantastic stay at a chic and contemporary hotel located just a few minutes' walk from the Douro river. The helpful and friendly reception staff provided excellent service with great English. Even though the bar area was being re-built, our overall experience was superb.

We enjoyed a beautiful view of the river from our room each morning, which was located close to the famous bridge. The river side location was perfect for us to experience the city from a unique perspective. The room was clean, quiet, and had air conditioning.

The large balcony with a river view was a perfect spot for evening gatherings despite the lack of sun protection during the day. The staff may have been unhappy, but the lovely room view made up for it. An excellent breakfast and hotel location added to the experience.

Wooden floors and a mix of dark and light colors are part of the modern décor. The hotel's stylish design and comfortable ambiance made me feel as if I had stepped into a trendy magazine photo shoot. Every corner was Instagram-ready, and I couldn't resist taking countless pictures to show off to my friends.

This place is perfectly located within the old town area and close to the most interesting sites. It's also within easy walking distance from the Metro station. The staff here go out of their way to give the best service, including assisting us in finding accommodation for an extra night in the city. There's a buffet breakfast, and also dining restaurant, a bar/lounge area, and a snack bar. The room is soundproofed, which ensured a peaceful stay.

I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for great and comfortable stay.

I selected this hotel for a corporate retreat due to its luxury apartments, ideal for business travelers. The independent accommodation suited my needs perfectly and provided a comfortable and spacious environment for my work trip.

I wished there was a business center with a printer available to make my work tasks more convenient during my stay.

Our stay at the hotel was enhanced by its fantastic location, right by the vibrant riverfront and within walking distance of numerous outstanding restaurants. We particularly appreciated the spacious accommodations, allowing our large family to relax comfortably after a day of exploring Porto's diverse attractions.

My wife says that the breakfast variety could be improved to cater better to families with children.
